Gen KAWAUCHI

Gen Kawauchi was a normal boy who lived in a small town. He was always getting into trouble, but he was also kind and caring. One day, he was walking home from school when he saw a strange creature in the river. The creature was a merman, and he was trapped in a fishing net. Gen quickly untangled the net and freed the merman. The merman thanked Gen and told him that his name was Rin. Rin said that he was from a faraway land, and that he had been lost at sea. Gen offered to let Rin stay with him until he could find a way to get home. Gen and Rin quickly became friends. Gen taught Rin about human customs, and Rin taught Gen about the merfolk. They spent many happy hours together, swimming in the river, playing games, and talking about their lives. One day, Rin's father came to the town looking for him. He was overjoyed to find Rin safe and sound, and he thanked Gen for taking care of him. Rin's father took Rin home, but he promised to visit Gen again soon. Gen was sad to see Rin go, but he knew that he would never forget his friend. He often thought about Rin and
